Prohibited and restricted goods
1. Purpose
This Policy identifies goods and services that may not be arranged through Camiouna or that require special care. It applies to Requesters, Transporters, descriptions, photographs, offers, and bookings.
Camiouna is a general marketplace for local transport and related services. It is not a platform for passenger transport, emergency response, secure cash transport, dangerous-goods logistics, medical transport, or other highly regulated services.
A category appearing in the application does not mean that every item or activity within that category is permitted.
2. General rule
Users must comply with all applicable laws and safety requirements. They must not use Camiouna to arrange a service involving goods that are illegal, unsafe for the proposed vehicle or handling method, undisclosed, or beyond the user's licence, authorization, insurance, equipment, or competence.
Where there is reasonable doubt, the Requester must disclose the nature of the goods and the Transporter must ask for clarification before accepting or beginning the service.
3. Prohibited goods and services
The following must not be requested, offered, arranged, or transported through Camiouna during the pilot:
- illegal, stolen, smuggled, counterfeit, or fraudulently obtained goods;
- narcotics, psychotropic substances, illegal drugs, or unlawful drug-related materials;
- firearms, ammunition, explosives, detonators, military weapons, or unlawful weapons;
- radioactive, infectious, biological, acutely toxic, explosive, or similarly dangerous materials;
- bulk fuel, highly flammable liquids, explosive gases, or dangerous chemicals requiring specialized dangerous-goods transport;
- human remains, human organs, blood, biological samples, or medical and infectious waste;
- live persons as passengers, except ordinary assistance incidental to loading or unloading where lawful and safe;
- trafficked, stolen, protected, or unlawfully transported animals, plants, or wildlife products;
- cash, bearer instruments, negotiable securities, precious metals, high-value jewellery, or goods requiring secure or armed transport;
- stolen or unlawfully used identity documents, payment instruments, personal records, or access credentials;
- pornography or other content whose possession, production, or distribution is unlawful;
- goods intended to commit fraud, violence, theft, surveillance abuse, cybercrime, or another offence; and
- any other item or service prohibited by law, a competent authority, or another Camiouna policy.
This list is not exhaustive. Camiouna may refuse a request presenting a comparable legal, safety, fraud, or operational risk.
4. Regulated or special-care categories
The following are not automatically permitted. They may be transported only when the Requester and Transporter can satisfy every applicable legal, equipment, hygiene, environmental, insurance, and safety requirement:
- drinking water and other water delivery;
- fresh, frozen, refrigerated, or temperature-sensitive food and goods;
- household waste, green waste, construction debris, rubble, and other waste;
- septic-tank contents, wastewater, sludge, and pumping services;
- vehicles requiring towing or transport;
- sand, gravel, stone, construction materials, heavy loads, and oversized items;
- lawful medicines or health-related products that do not require medical, controlled-substance, or dangerous-goods transport;
- sealed consumer batteries, paint, cleaning products, gas containers, or similar items in quantities and conditions lawfully transportable by an ordinary carrier; and
- animals or plants whose transport is lawful and can be performed humanely and safely, where the Platform expressly allows the request.
Users must not assume that selecting a Platform category satisfies a legal requirement or confirms the Transporter's equipment or authorization.
5. Requester responsibilities
The Requester must:
- have the right to possess and arrange transport of the goods;
- describe the goods honestly and with enough detail for a safety and vehicle assessment;
- disclose weight, dimensions, quantity, condition, fragility, hazards, temperature needs, access limits, and special handling requirements;
- use safe and lawful packaging, labelling, sealing, and containment;
- obtain any permit, authorization, document, or disposal approval for which the Requester is responsible;
- select lawful pickup, delivery, treatment, or disposal locations; and
- not conceal restricted goods inside boxes, bags, furniture, waste, vehicles, or another load.
Photographs and descriptions must not themselves contain unlawful content or unnecessary personal information.
6. Transporter responsibilities
Before loading or starting work, the Transporter must make a reasonable assessment of the goods, vehicle, route, equipment, documentation, and service conditions.
The Transporter must refuse or stop the service if:
- the goods appear illegal, prohibited, falsely described, materially different, leaking, unstable, contaminated, or unsafe;
- the load exceeds the vehicle's lawful or safe capacity;
- required packaging, permits, protective equipment, temperature control, pumping equipment, restraints, or lawful disposal arrangements are missing;
- the Transporter is not legally authorized, insured, equipped, or competent for the work; or
- continuing would create a serious risk to a person, property, public health, or the environment.
The Transporter must not open sealed property without lawful authority or retain, use, sell, abandon, or dispose of goods except as lawfully agreed.
7. Waste, wastewater, and disposal
Waste, debris, septic, and wastewater services must use lawful handling and disposal methods and appropriate destinations. Dumping, discharge, burning, burial, abandonment, or mixing of waste in breach of applicable rules is prohibited.
The users are responsible for agreeing who provides access, containers, pumping or loading equipment, cleaning, disposal charges, permits, and proof of lawful disposal where relevant.
8. Food, water, and refrigerated goods
Where a service involves drinking water, food, refrigerated goods, or another hygiene-sensitive load, the users must ensure that the vehicle, tank, container, temperature, handling, and cleaning arrangements are suitable and comply with applicable requirements.
Camiouna does not inspect or certify water quality, food safety, temperature history, sanitation, or suitability for consumption.
9. Vehicle towing and transport
The Requester must have authority over the vehicle being moved and disclose its condition, location, mobility, damage, size, and any access or loading difficulty.
The Transporter must use a suitable vehicle and lawful towing or loading method. Camiouna does not provide roadside rescue, mechanical diagnosis, impound release, or authority to move a vehicle without the owner's or competent authority's permission.
10. Enforcement and reporting
Camiouna may reject or remove a request or offer, request information, preserve records, restrict a feature, change a verification status, suspend an account, or report information to a competent authority where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of this Policy.
If a user encounters an immediate danger, suspected crime, hazardous spill, or medical emergency, the user must stop where safe and contact the competent emergency or public authority. Camiouna is not an emergency service.
