Verification policy

1. Purpose

This page explains the optional document review offered by Camiouna and the verification labels shown in the app.

The operator personally looks over documents a user chooses to submit, to notice apparent inconsistencies. This is a basic manual review, not a government check or certification. A verified status does not prove that a document is authentic and is not a guarantee, recommendation, endorsement, or expression of trust by Camiouna. It does not mean Camiouna considers the user suitable for a transport.

2. Types of verification

Camiouna may conduct:

Telephone verification only confirms control of a telephone number. It is separate from identity and Transporter verification.

3. Documents used for the pilot

The app may let users submit photographs of:

To receive the Transporter verified badge, the driver’s licence, vehicle registration, technical inspection certificate, and insurance certificate must be reviewed and approved. A criminal-record certificate is optional. These documents remain optional for using the app and sending offers.

Camiouna may ask for a clearer or updated image if needed. Users should submit only the requested document and avoid unrelated personal information.

Submitting a document is optional and does not guarantee that it will be marked as reviewed.

Passports are not accepted. While an approved national identity card has not expired, a new one cannot be sent. For a Transporter, an approved driving licence also counts as identity verification.

4. User responsibilities

The user must ensure that every submitted document:

The user must promptly report a material change, expiry, suspension, withdrawal, loss, replacement, or inaccuracy affecting a submitted document or verified status.

Submitting a false, stolen, altered, or misleading document may lead to rejection, loss of verified status, account suspension, preservation of evidence, or reporting to a competent authority where required or permitted by law.

5. Review process

The operator checks submitted images for readability and apparent consistency with account or vehicle information. No government authority certifies this review. It may miss false documents, legal issues, or later changes.

6. Status meanings

For an individual document, the app may show: not started, pending, under review, approved, rejected, expired, or to be sent again after a vehicle change. The overall verification status may be shown as verified, pending, or unverified.

An unverified label does not by itself mean that a user is unsafe or acting unlawfully. An approved label does not prove that a document is authentic or guarantee that the user is safe, lawful, competent, insured, financially reliable, or suitable for a particular service.

7. Effect of verification

Document review is optional for Transporters and is not required to use the app or submit offers. A Requester's identity review is also optional. The app shows each party the other's verification status, including when identity or Transporter documents have not been verified. An unverified status does not by itself mean that a user is unsafe or acting unlawfully. A Transporter's status may affect how offers are ordered.

Every Requester remains responsible for reviewing the offer, vehicle, price, ratings, information, and circumstances and deciding whether to accept a Transporter. Every Transporter remains responsible for holding the licences, authorizations, insurance, equipment, and legal capacity required for the service.

8. Re-review, expiry, and removal

Camiouna may request re-verification or change, suspend, or remove a status where:

9. Privacy and storage

Verification documents are personal and high-risk information. Camiouna stores them in private file storage and uses time-limited access links. The operator is the only person who reviews them.

Documents and review records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for verification, re-verification, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or claims, as further described in the Privacy Policy.

The photos of a national identity card are deleted as soon as a decision is made. The decision, its date and the legal name recorded are kept. Each decision is notified to you, with the reason in case of refusal.

10. Review questions and contact

A user may ask for the reason for a verification result or submit corrected information through the method provided by the Platform. Camiouna may maintain a rejection where the requirements remain unmet or where disclosure would create a security, fraud-prevention, or legal risk.
