General terms of use

1. Purpose and operator

These General Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern the use of the Camiouna app (the "Platform").

Camiouna is currently an independent service operated from Algeria and is not a registered company. In these Terms, "Camiouna" or "we" refers to the service and its operator.

By accepting these Terms in the app, you enter into an agreement with Camiouna for the use of the Platform. The Privacy policy, the Verification policy and the Prohibited and restricted goods page complete them. If you are a Transporter, the Transporter conditions also apply.

2. What Camiouna does

Camiouna is a matching marketplace for truck transport in Algeria. A Requester describes a transport need: goods, places, date, photos. Independent Transporters send offers with a price. The Requester freely chooses whether to contact and book a Transporter. Camiouna does not select, recommend, employ, or partner with a Transporter, and a listing or match is not an endorsement or statement of trust.

Camiouna is not a carrier. It does not set prices, does not choose or recommend the Transporter and is not a party to the transport contract, which is made directly between the Requester and the Transporter. A booking in the app records the users' arrangement; it does not make Camiouna a party to it or mean Camiouna has accepted, approved, or guaranteed the transport.

Camiouna provides tools for Requesters and Transporters to find each other, exchange offers and record a booking. It does not perform, supervise or guarantee the transport. The users decide whether to make the transport agreement and are responsible for carrying it out.

The transport price is paid directly to the Transporter, outside the app, in cash or as they agree. Camiouna never receives, holds or guarantees that money. The app offers no payment, insurance or dispute resolution.

3. Access and account

You must be at least 19 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts.

The account is created with your phone number, confirmed by a code received by SMS, then you choose a password. You then sign in with your number and this password; a code by SMS is used again if you forget your password. You must give accurate information, must not impersonate anyone and must protect access to your account and your phone.

Some actions require your number to have been confirmed by code recently: within the last 12 months to publish a request or accept an offer, within the last 6 months to send an offer or start a booking. An account unused for more than six months must confirm, when signing in again by code, that it belongs to the same person.

Your public name is chosen by you and visible to other users. It must not contain contact details or insults.

4. Requests

The Requester describes their need accurately and completely: type and quantity of goods, places, access, date and any known risk. They guarantee that the goods are lawful and that they are entitled to arrange their transport.

A dated request receives offers until its date. An "as soon as possible" or flexible request receives offers for the period chosen by the Requester. Without an accepted offer by then, it expires and can be published again.

Before an offer is accepted, signed-in Transporters only see the neighbourhood of the places, and visitors who are not signed in only the city. The exact address and the Requester's name and phone number are given only to the Transporter whose offer is accepted.

Descriptions, offer notes and public names are checked automatically: contact details (numbers, email addresses, links) are refused, and insults, threats or harassment may be detected automatically. Contact details are exchanged automatically once an offer is accepted.

5. Offers and bookings

An offer gives a price, an availability, the vehicle and optionally a note. It remains open until the request closes, unless it is accepted or withdrawn before then. Its content cannot be changed: the Transporter withdraws it and sends a new one.

When the Requester accepts an offer, a booking is created. It records what was agreed: price, places, date, vehicle (make, model, plate), and each side's name and phone.

The Transporter marks the steps of the transport (on the way to loading, loaded, finished) and each one is notified to the Requester. When the Transporter marks the transport finished, the Requester has 48 hours to confirm it; without an answer, the booking is considered completed. A booking never marked finished is also considered completed automatically on the seventh day after the planned date, after reminders to the Transporter. This automatic completion is a Platform status; it does not establish that the transport or payment actually took place.

Either side can cancel the booking until the goods are loaded. After loading, the app no longer offers cancellation; if there is a problem, use a report (article 8).

6. Verification

Transporter document review is optional and is not required to use the app or send offers. A Requester may also choose whether to submit identity documents. The app shows each party the other party's verification status, including when identity or transporter documents have not been verified.

The operator reviews submitted documents personally. "Verified" means only that they appeared consistent during this basic review. No government authority verifies or certifies them, and the status is not proof that a document is authentic or a guarantee of identity or reliability. It is not a recommendation, endorsement, expression of trust, or assurance that Camiouna considers a user suitable for a transport. See the Verification policy.

7. Ratings and visible information

After a completed booking, each side can rate the other once, from 1 to 5, with an optional comment. The comment is visible only to the two sides; the average and the number of ratings are shown to the other side before a booking. Ratings must be honest and reflect a real experience.

Before choosing, the Requester sees on each offer the Transporter's public name and photo, verification status, ratings, completed jobs and reliability level. The Transporter sees the Requester's record on Camiouna, including whether the Requester's phone and identity have been verified, date joined, completed bookings, cancellations in the last 12 months, and ratings. An unverified status is not evidence that someone is unsafe or acting unlawfully.

8. Reports and disagreements

You can report to Camiouna a problem of safety, fraud, illegal goods, false documents or harassment, from a booking or from the help screen. The operator reviews reports and may act on accounts, for example by suspending them.

Camiouna does not arbitrate disagreements between Requester and Transporter, and a report does not change a booking. Disagreements are settled between them, amicably or before the competent authorities and courts. In an emergency, contact the emergency services directly: Camiouna is not one.

9. Location

The app uses your phone's position to choose the places of a request and, for a Transporter, records it when an offer is sent.

During a booking, from when the Transporter marks that they are on the way to the loading place until the end of the transport, the Transporter's position is shared with the Requester: while the app is open and, if the Transporter has allowed it, in the background with a permanent notification. The Requester can ask for an updated position and is told when the Transporter approaches the loading place and then the destination. Only the latest position is kept. This information may be delayed or inaccurate and is neither surveillance nor a safety guarantee.

The distances, durations and routes shown are estimates.

10. Prohibited goods and rules of conduct

Using Camiouna to transport illegal goods, stolen goods, or dangerous goods without the required authorisations is prohibited: see the Prohibited and restricted goods page.

It is also prohibited to publish false, insulting or threatening content or content that infringes others' rights, to get around the Platform's rules, or to use the contact details and places received for anything other than the booking concerned. Camiouna may refuse or remove content that breaks these rules.

11. Drafting assistant

The app may offer to draft a request from your own text, using an artificial intelligence service. The result may be inaccurate: check and correct every field before publishing. You remain responsible for the published request. Artificial intelligence does not set prices and does not choose Transporters.

12. Fees

Camiouna is free for Requesters. Transporters pay a fee for using Camiouna's app services. The amount is calculated from completed booking values as explained in the Transporter conditions. This fee is for use of the app, not payment for the transport.

13. Suspension and account deletion

Camiouna may suspend an account for a breach of these Terms, fraud, false documents, danger to other users or a legal obligation. A suspended account can no longer use the Platform.

You can delete your account from the app, except during an ongoing booking or while a request is open. Your public name, number and photo are then removed and you can no longer sign in to that account. Booking, request, rating and fee records are kept as records of the transactions, as explained in the Privacy policy.

14. Liability

Camiouna provides the Platform as it is and does not guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. Camiouna is not responsible for a user's transport service, goods, payment to the other user or conduct. Each user is responsible for their own acts towards the other user.

Camiouna remains responsible for its own failings, within the limits set by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes a liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

15. Changes

Camiouna may change these Terms. Each version is dated. For an important change, the app asks you to accept the new version before continuing. Camiouna records the version and the language you accepted.

16. Applicable law and contact

These Terms are governed by Algerian law. If there is a difficulty with Camiouna, contact us first to look for an amicable solution; failing that, the competent Algerian courts may be seized.
